It may seem hard to believe, but there was actually a legitimate basketball game over the weekend. Well, it was a preseason game in Vancouver. (To the surprise of literally no one, #NBATwitter loved Vancouver.) But still! Basketball! The Toronto Raptors politely defeated the Golden State Warriors (overrated!), and when there’s preseason ball, that means the start of the actual 82-game campaign can’t be too far off. We thought this would be the perfect opportunity to record our first Charlotte Hornets Podcast, especially as the Buzz open up their preseason slate Monday night in Dallas (8:30 p.m.), which will be televised on League Pass.
We’ve tasked our NBA team of Brian Geisinger (Stat Boi) and Brenden Whitted (Research) — buncha nerds! — with the job of reflecting on how last season ended for the Hornets, discussing what went down this offseason, and previewing 2016-17, including the return of Michael Kidd-Gilchrist. Also, Roy Hibbert. He’s here, too.
