This weekend was less than ideal for North Carolina ACC teams. These bowl projections aren’t even fun anymore. But alas …
Will the ACC get two in? That’s the big question heading into the home stretch, and while we’d need some help to see that happen, this is certainly the best chance the ACC has had since college football adopted the playoff format. The first rankings come out on Tuesday, and while Clemson easily has the best resume in football, Alabama will be number 1 because Alabama. It’s going to be a long shot to see Louisville in the top 4, but the Cardinals should come in fifth thanks to their successful navigation of the ACC Coastal meat-grinder with narrow wins over Duke and Virginia.
