We look ahead to Week 9 in the ACC which coincidentally is also Halloween. Last week we got two games in the correct time slot as we predicted both Pitt/Syracuse and BC/Louisville would be 12:00/12:30 kickoffs. Two games (Clemson/Miami and FSU/GT) were given the 6-day hold. UNC not playing noon games is really killing our flow, and we may have to consider making an upgrade to our algorithms. October 31 Gametime/Channel Predictions:
VT @ BC: 1230 ACC Network
Clemson @ NC State: 330, ABC/ESPN/ESPN2
Miami @ Duke: 330 ESPN U
Syracuse @ FSU: 12PM ESPNU
Georgia Tech @ Virginia 1230, RSN
At this point, there are no Week 9 match-ups across the entire country between two ranked teams which could open the door for NC State/Clemson to be at night. If NC State beats Wake Forest, I’m not sure how the Clemson/NC State game is not at 3:30 or a night game. Heading into the season, this game was an early favorite to bring College Gameday to Raleigh, but … yeah, that’s not happening anymore. Would lean toward 3:30 now.
Miami/Duke could be given the 6-day hold. If Miami can rebound from their two-game slide, this could be the biggest game of the day in the ACC.
