There is a lot of downtime this time of year in North Carolina. Because we are North Carolina’s #1 Sports Network, we now turn our attention to golf, maybe some NBA/NFL draft and…MINOR LEAGUE BASEBALL. North Carolina is #blessed to have 10* Minor League Baseball teams, 2 of which are brand new this year, the Down East Wood Ducks (in Kinston) and Buies Creek Astros.
We are going to make it easy on you and show you which team you should be going to see every night based on promotions and deals. We have made it easy for you by linking to each specific night to buy tickets.
Thursday, April 13: Durham Bulls game for $1 concessions and Wine Sampling event. Free wine samples is always good.
Friday, April 14: Down East Wood Ducks has “Vivian Howard Night”. The world-renowned chef from the “The Chef and the Farmer” in Kinston, will throw out the first pitch.
Saturday, April 15: Hickory Crawdads for an old fashioned double header + the Easter Bunny comes a day early.
Sunday, April 16: It’s Easter and most teams have some sort of cool celebration. The best is in Durham where eggs will dropped on the field by a helicopter. Eggs from a helicopter.
Monday, April 17: Winston-Salem is the place to be. You can eat for free thru the 7th inning. All-U-Can Eat!
Tuesday, April 18: Head over to Zebulon for a Carolina Mudcats doubleheader. 2 games for the price of 1.
Wednesday, April 19: Go to Asheville for “Goodwill Night”. Always cool to give back. If you donate 3 articles of clothing you get a free ticket.
*Note, the Burlington Royals season does not start until June. Also no promotion schedule available for Buies Creek Astros.
