College basketball is officially over. We are still over 100 days until the beginning of college football. The Hurricanes aren’t going to make the playoffs. The Hornets might make the playoffs, then probably lose in first round.
There is a lot of downtime this time of year in North Carolina. Because we are North Carolina’s #1 Sports Network, we now turn our attention to golf, maybe some NBA/NFL draft and…MINOR LEAGUE BASEBALL. North Carolina is #blessed to have 10* Minor League Baseball teams, 2 of which are brand new this year, the Down East Wood Ducks (in Kinston) and Buies Creek Astros.
We are going to make it easy on you and show you which team you should be going to see every night based on promotions and deals. We have made it easy for you by linking to each specific night to buy tickets.
Thursday, April 6: Kannapolis Intimidators have Darryl Strawberry Night. Also Thirsty Thursday
Friday, April 7: Charlotte Knights for Fireworks
Saturday, April 8: Kannapolis Intimidators are hosting Hollywood Night
Sunday, April 9: Charlotte Knights where you kids can Run the Bases
Monday, April 10: Down East Wood Ducks opening night in historic Grainger Stadium in Kinston. Minor League Baseball is back east of I-95
Tuesday, April 11: Greensboro Grasshoppers for “Jim Boeheim No Value Night”. The curmudegeony coach of Syracuse had some choice words about the great city of Greensboro, and the Grasshoppers will offer all Syracuse NY natives who attend a free ticket and free food. Genius.
Wednesday April 12: Down East, Greensboro and Kannapolis all have day baseball. Take a half day at work and go catch some baseball.
*Note, the Burlington Royals season does not start until June
