College Football Week 6: NC School Betting Picks

Articles

The calendar has rolled into October. By now we have a good feel for most teams on the field and how they perform at the betting counter. These week all of our NC-based ACC teams are underdogs.

NC State +3.5 vs Louisville (Over/Under 66)

  • – While being 4-1 overall, State is just 1-4 ATS this season (0-3 at home)
  • – Since Louisville has joined the ACC, State is 1-2 ATS vs the Cards
  • – Under Doeren, State is just 3-7 ATS as a home underdog

Pick: In what is probably the most important State home game in 7 years, let’s take the Pack to cover the spread and take the OVER

UNC +14 vs Notre Dame (Over/Under 59.5)

  • – Like NC State, UNC is just 1-4 ATS this season (0-3 at home)
  • – In last 3 games vs Notre Dame, UNC is 2-1 ATS and all 3 games have gone over
  • – Under Fedora, UNC is just 9-13 ATS

Pick: Notre Dame may be without their QB. Let’s take the Heels and UNDER

Duke +2.5 @ Virginia (Over/Under 54)

  • – Under Cut, Duke is 7-2-1 ATS in games vs Virginia
  • – Duke has covered nearly 70% of all road games in last 5 years
  • – Over 60% of Duke games have gone under in last 5 seasons

Pick: No feel on spread. Would take Under

Wake Forest +21.5 @ Clemson (Over/Under 47.5)

  • – Wake Forest has covered the last 3 games vs Clemson
  • – 3 of the last 4 Wake Forest/Clemson games have gone under

Pick: Like Wake Forest if line stays > 21. Also would lean under with 2 good defense

ECU +2.5 vs Temple (Over/Under 63.5)

  • – Since becoming conference members, ECU is 0-3 ATS in games vs Temple
  • – Last 3 ECU/Temple games have gone UNDER
  • – Nearly 60% of ECU games in last 5 years have gone OVER the total

Pick: Who knows! Let’s fight history and trends and go ECU and OVER

Appalachian State -10.5 vs New Mexico State (Over/Under 55)

  • – In last 4 seasons, App State is just 6-13-1 ATS in home games
  • – On the road at NMSU last season, App State covered and the game went under

Pick: Expect same result this season, so let’s go App and Under
