Who is winning? Kevin Kisner and Hideki Matsuyama head into the weekend both at -8.
Why? Kisner backed up his round 1 67 with another 67, while Matsuyama had the round of the day shooting a 64.

What people are talking about? The fact that the more recognizable players on tour have struggled all week. Phil Mickelson, Sergio Garcia, Jimmy Walker, Bubba Watson, and Justin Rose all missed the cut. It will take a special Saturday and Sunday for the likes of Dustin Johnson and Jordan Spieth be in contention.
What should people be talking about? We still are shaping up for an interesting weekend. While a Kisner/Matsuyama won’t attract the “I only watch major golf and when there are people I know” guy, there are still a few guys that, with a good Saturday could make Sunday interesting. Watch out for the likes of Jason Day and Rickie Fowler making a charge, which would set up an awesome Sunday.
What’s on tap for Saturday? Hopefully dodging rain, which ended up suspending play. Also can some of the golfers sitting around even par make a run on this very difficult course.
Quote: Basically golf is hard. Even for the really good ones.
