Wallace Wade Stadium was the perfect match for Duke football for many years. First, it was a landmark of college football on the East coast. Then it was outdated, then obsolete, and later an embarrassing blemish on one of America’s greatest campuses.
On Saturday afternoon when fans walk through the (finally) completed gates, Wallace Wade Stadium again will mirror the program it houses. The transformation from what was there just a few short years ago to what is there now is nothing short of miraculous. And like David Cutcliffe’s program, it’s the small details that make it great.
It’s a “boutique stadium”, as Associate Director of Athletics Mike Sobb calls it, which is perfect for Duke. For information on purchasing tickets in Blue Devil Tower, visit the Premium Seating section on the Duke website.
