This weekend 6 of North Carolina’s FBS teams hit the gridiron. Our crack research team has come up with some trends for each of the teams to maybe give you some guidance when you call in a play to your guy, if you know a guy.
We went 4-1 in Week 3 on games we gave you a strong tip on. Just saying.
East Carolina +12 @ Virginia Tech
- -ECU is 10-1 ATS in regular season games vs P5 FBS schools (includes BYU) since 2013
- -ECU is 7-0 ATS in regular season games since 2013 when they have been underdogs of at least 7 points
- -The spread has moved from 7.5 to 12 in this game. When bettors have moved the line in Virginia Tech games since 2013, they are correct 70% of the time
Tip: ECU has been great against ACC teams but the line movement is a little worrisome. Stay away.
Wake Forest +7.5 @ Indiana
-Wake Forest is 11-10 ATS as an underdog under Dave Clawson
-Wake Forest is 5-7 ATS as a road underdog under Dave Clawson
-Wake Forest did not cover at home last year versus Indiana
Tip: Sorry Wake
Appalachian State +6 @ Akron
-App State has covered 4 of their last 5 games where they are a road favorite
-App State is 8-4-1 ATS in road games since 2014
Tip: Roll with our guys from the mountains
Charlotte +27 @ Temple
-Charlotte is 2-8 ATS as an underdog in last 3 seasons

-UNC is 7-4 ATS in home ACC Coastal games under Larry Fedora
-UNC has covered 57% of games under Larry Fedora where they are favorites of 7 or more
Tip: Heels at Home (if the line stays at 7…no pick if it rises)
Duke +19 @ Notre Dame
-See http://www.sportschannel8.com/who-to-bet-on-week-3/ and drop the percentages
Tip: Stay away
