The Carolina Panthers quieted their critics on Sunday by rallying for an impressive win against the Seattle Seahawks at CenturyLink Field. Over the last couple of weeks, the national media has deemed the Panther’s undefeated season a joke due to their schedule and declared they will be exposed in Seattle. The Panthers retorted with a strong performance, thus telling the media “The joke’s on you!”
Quarterback Cam Newton mocked the media in the post game conference by sporting a flower on his jacket lapel. Often men wear a flower on the lapel jacket to symbolize fragile life, of beauty in nature, of love undefined yet captured in a single bloom. The Sports Channel 8 team theorizes the flower actually symbolized a giant middle finger and was a reference to the clown prince of crime himself, The Joker!

This week we’re not going to ask “Who wore it better?” because we feel Cam got the last laugh. Stay tuned next week as Cam and the Panthers welcome the Philadelphia Eagles and we’ll return to our usual feature with a guest judge. Same sports time, same sports channel!
