September 19th is “Talk Like a Pirate Day”, and SportsChannel8 headed to the best place on earth to learn how to be fully prepared to talk like an actual pirate … Greenville, North Carolina.
We caught up with several members of the East Carolina University family who taught us how to talk like an ECU Pirate, including head football coach Ruffin McNeill, in advance of this weekend’s nautical showdown between ECU and the Midshipmen of the US Naval Academy.
ECU is a slight underdog in the game, but SportsChannel8 staff is unanimous in picking the Pirates to cover the 4 point spread.
